How It Started

SnapeMyScreen grew out of frustration. Back in early 2024, one of our co-founders spent almost an hour trying to figure out how to record system audio on a Mac — bouncing between outdated blog posts, confusing forum threads, and YouTube videos that were more ads than substance.

We figured there had to be a better way. A single place where you could learn everything about Mac screen capture — screenshots, recordings, tools, and tricks — without pop-ups, paywalls, or hidden agendas. So we built one.

What We Believe

  • Free means free. No gated content, no premium tiers, no hidden costs.
  • Tested, not guessed. Every guide runs on actual hardware before it gets published.
  • Stay current. macOS changes fast. We update guides within weeks of each major release.
